IconFly

If you design your own apps or if you just want to customize your Mac, then IconFly may catch your eye. This lightweight utility can be used to create new and shiny icons for Mac OS X and for iOS. The operation is as simple as possible and it takes only a few seconds to complete.

All you have to do is drag and drop a picture on the application's clean and efficient user interface, choose an icon type and click a button. As previously suggested, IconFly allows you to choose between Mac OS X and iOS icons. Additionally, you can opt for universal iOS icons or icons for the iPhone or iPad. Generating web clip icons and favicons is another possibility.

OS X, iOS and web icons can be previewed on different tabs and exported separately. Furthermore, the application places a few customization options at your disposal, for each icon type. For example, you can enable rounded edges and a shine for iOS icons.

The application will generate several icons, of different sizes. Alternatively, you can select IconFly's options for generating quick icons, for Mac, iOS or the web. Thus, the application will generate icons with the original image size.

If you intend to create an icon for your Mac, you will have more options at your disposal. Besides saving the icons, you can also create an icons set, an ICNS, a folder with icons and you can even apply the new icon to a folder. The best part is that the icons you generate with this application are compatible with the OS X and iOS Human Interface Guidelines.
